A revolutionary tool from Stainless Headers Mfg., Inc. These purge plates combine the best solutions for your header welding needs, without compromising anywhere. They are CNC machined from 1” thick billet aluminum, and finished in a hard anodized coating. Each purge plate is themed for a particular combination of cylinder heads to maximize a builder’s efficiency.

Each pattern features every bolt, drilled & tapped for the header bolt size appropriate for that specific cylinder head, allowing the builder to maximize clamping force against the purge plate. Most commonly, this will be 3/8" bolt size, but other popular options include M8 (LS Heads) and 5/16" (Gen III Hemi Heads).

Each port also includes a top-mounted ¼” NPT port for various purge fittings.
Each plate comes with argon diffuses already installed in these port centers, to maximize argon coverage for flange welds and efficiently purging your header system- creating stronger welds, reduced contamination, and lower argon usage. The front face of each port has a purge line and quick-connect fitting built in, ready for a quick-connect argon line to efficiently swap your purge line between cylinders, continuing to save on argon costs, while improving weld quality.

Every Purge Plate comes engraved with bolt pattern identification, and a short description of applicable cylinder heads the bolt pattern connects with. These Purge Plates are the perfect Welder’s Helper when it comes to effective heat sink, argon usage, bolt pattern verification, and maintenance free upgrades to your welding arsenal. The combination of bolt patterns drastically reduces costs by saving on quantity of tools required for any weld shop, and maintaining complete clamping force.
