This header was designed to replace an original cast exhaust manifold that had cracking problems in industrial applications. By incorporating a slip joint between each segment, we reduced the cracking issues and improved longevity of the manifolds. Notice the bellows over each slip joint segment. We manufactured these in house to meet the customer’s exact specifications. Since these headers are used in an explosive environment, these stainless bellows stopped the leakage, but yet let the slip joints move with the expansion and contraction of the header segments.
